TRIP DETAILS
Get ready to be awed by beautiful scenery of Jebel Akhdar, with its pomegranate gardens and cosy villages nestled on the cliffs. The path winds gently, with a few uphill and downhill sections, as we traverse through the plateau and up onto the ridge with stunning views all around and an exposed airy feel. As we descend into the Wadi Bani Habib, enjoy a unique bird's eye view of Jebel Akhadr’s lush farms and gardens. Get an up-close look at the walnut trees, learn about the ancient irrigation system 'Falaj', as we walk into the farms and through the valley. Don’t relax just yet! We have got to climb 205 stairs to reach the end of the trail, where the cars will be waiting for us. Sometimes, there is a small pop-up produce stall where you can buy local pomegranates and honey. As the trek is quite long, about 4 hours, we enjoy the picnic lunch on route under one of the trees.
